It is very important for COMMUNITIES to work in a unified and intelligent manner to Erase Racism.
And YOU can spearhead community action.
What resources are available in your community to help fight racism?
Are there ANY resources available?
Consider things that you can do to work cooperatively in your community to increase resources to fight racism.
One excellent organization to look to for guidance in this area is the NAACP.
Please visit their website:
Naacp.org
You can also sponsor “Erase Racism” days in your community. You can have meetings, rallies at parks, etc.
And you can sponsor “Erase Racism” days at your school or organization. Put together information packets about fighting racism, and hand them out.
You CAN make a difference.
Is there a hotline in your community that people can call to report racism? Consider sponsoring one. You NO NOT need to man the phone 24 hours a day. You can get a phone number with an answering machine. Check the machine a few times a day, and when a call comes in TAKE action.
Take a good look at your community and think about things that you can do to Erase Racism.
Put up signs that read “Erase Racism” in places where you can legally do so.
And network with other groups and organizations in your community that are working to Erase Racism.
But please TAKE ACTION.
Racism will never be erased on its own.
Get involved with your community and fight to Erase Racism.
God bless you.
Take care,
